Range Life

The darkest secret I hold to date is the fact that my first ever concert was Nickleback. (Thank you mom.) It's a miracle that I actually still like music. On a serious note, music is just something that I have loved since I was young. I'm always looking for new albums and more bands to listen to. I love the experience of finding a new favorite artist as well as seeing how my taste evolves thoughout the years. At the same time, my love of music works hand and hand with my love for writing. A lot of musicians have heavily influenced my style as well as what I enjoy writing about most.

Some of the greatest influences on my life are musicians. The most significant is Damon Albarn. For years he has been the frontman for Blur and recently even released his own solo project. After releasing hundreds of songs, Damon is still always able to find creativity where most cannot. Even after the constant legal battles in recent years over stolen lyrics and instrumentals among other popular artists, he always finds room for ingenuity. Additionally, the author Janette Walls has been a major influence for me in terms of writing. Her stories show that fact is more absurd than the strangest fiction and that the most beautiful writing is simple.
