I was born in Chicago and I've lived in Las Vegas since I was 2. I've always had a passion for music, art, and literature; I pursued these interests in various manners. In high school, I participated in the creative writing club, Show Choir, school newspaper, and the local newspaper (The Las Vegas Review Journal). In my spare time, I like to listen to music, read, and shop. My taste in music varies from dance to international music. I started DJing when I was a sophomore in high school, and my DJ name is DJ Affinity.
Growing up, I had the opportunity to pursue my passion for music in various ways. When I was young, I learned to play the piano and the trumpet; I played the trumpet for 2 years and I played the piano for 8 years with lessons and 2 years by ear. In 10th grade, I started DJing with a local DJ in Las Vegas (DJ Eddy-D) and during my senior year I became my school's resident DJ. I mixed for school dances, alumni events, and for student events.
