Bio

Hi there, the name’s Ty! As a passionate fan of music of all genres, I’ve always wanted to get more involved with the music scene. Back in my hometown of Portland, Oregon I’ve worked at several music festivals helping out bands like Pinegrove, Charles Bradley, and the legendary Dinosaur Jr. After moving to Chicago one of the first things I did was get involved with Radio DePaul. Currently I’m the host of The Opening Act, a weekly music talk show that airs every Wednesday at 3:00 and focuses on Chicago's concert scene. I also run Radio DePaul’s daily Pocket News that airs every weekday at 12:00 and 5:00! If you see me at a show come say hi!
