Bio

Hi there, the name’s Ty! As a passionate fan of music of all genres, I’ve always wanted to get more involved with the music scene. Back in my hometown of Portland, Oregon I’ve worked at several music festivals helping out bands like Broken Social Scene, Built to Spill, and Dinosaur Jr. After moving to Chicago one of the first things I did was get involved with Radio DePaul. Currently I’m the host of The Opening Act, a weekly music talk show that airs every Wednesday at 2:00pm and focuses on Chicago's concert scene. I also serve as Radio DePaul's On-Air Director! If you see me at a show come say hi!
