Bio

Derek Peters is widely believed to have been born sometime in the early 90's. However, since he spent the majority of his childhood wandering through the Siberian taiga, his exact origins are unknown. He was raised primarily by a pack of wolves who embraced him as their own. They named him "Grrrawh," which translates to "One who does many cool things but doesn't brag about them, even though he totally could." Against all odds, despite not speaking the human tongue or having any knowledge of the world beyond the dense, cold forrest of the taiga, Derek scored exceedingly high on his ACT test and was accepted to DePaul University. He changed his name to "Derek," after a brief encounter with British paleolithic archeologist, Derek Roe. In the future, Derek hopes to live his life according to characteristics of a Hemingway Code Hero as well as finally finish a crossword puzzle.

Bio

I spent the majority of my high school career acting in plays and films, planning to pursue acting after graduating. Along the way I became interested in working in journalism, and started looking for opportunities to try it out (I'd been told often "you have a great voice for radio!"). Despite still having an interest in acting, I've found that broadcast is something I love to do and has a lot of transferable skills from acting.

Influences

In terms of media, things like The Daily Show, Stephen Colbert and Real Time with Bill Maher have been strong influences. HBO's The Newsroom is actually what initially exposed me to broadcast news, and I enjoy a lot of what it had to say about the current state of American Media.

Bio

There is only one: Joe D'Amico. His sweat is the cure for the common cold. Once a rattlesnake bit him, after 5 days of excruciating pain, the snake finally died. He has won a staring contest with his own reflection. (Mostly because he has no real friends to do it with) His pillow is cool, on BOTH sides. He is, the most interesting Radio Host in the world. I don't always rock the waves, but when I do, you can here it on radio.depaul.edu or the Radio DePaul app ;)

Influences

Johnathon Brandmeier is my personal hero. His morning talk show is just what I want to do on a major radio station one day. I also love myself some Mancow Morning show and the Eric and Kathy show.
